Mohammad Khalaj-Kondori received his BSc degree in Cell and Molecular Biology-Genetics from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, Iran (2003), and ranked 4th in the final step of 8th Scientific Olympiad for University Students in 2003. He received his MSc (2006) and PhD (2011) degrees both in Molecular Genetics from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran. Mohammad joined the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, as a short-term research program visitor under co-supervision of Professors Paolo Monaci and Isabella Saggio, for 6 months in 2010. Being as an academic staff, in 2011, he joined the University of Tabriz, and now serves as an Associate Professor in the department of Animal Biology. In 2012, Dr. Khalaj-Kondori established PhD course of Molecular Genetics in the Genetics subdivision of the Animal Biology department. He has supervised many MSc and PhD thesis, published more than 70 papers in peer reviewed journals, authored two books, translated/edited 5 English books to Persian up to now. His research focuses on the Cancer Genetics and Biology, In Silico Cancer gene network analysis, Disease Biomarkers, Genetic Variations, Genetics of memory and Alzheimer’s disease, Nano-drug delivery and Targeted gene delivery. |
