Akbar Sohrabi is an assistant professor at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Tabriz. Dr. Sohrabi received his Ph.D. degree in Paleontology from Western University, Canada in 2013, his M.Sc. degree in Stratigraphy and Paleontology from Shahid Beheshti University in 2008, and his B.Sc. degree in Geology from University of Tabriz in 2005. He has been teaching several geology courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels at the University of Calgary and University of Tabriz. He has been a research associate at the University of Calgary (2014-2017) and Western University (2013) and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Tabriz (2018-2019). His research interests include invertebrate paleontology, morphological diversity, evolutionary trends, paleogeography, ichnology, and application of artificial intelligence in paleontology. |
