Ghodrat Barzegari studied undergraduate studies in geology at the University of Tabriz (2003) and received his M.Sc. (2006) and Ph.D. (2013) degrees in Engineering Geology from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran. He spent six months at the EPFL-LMR in Switzerland for completing of his PhD thesis on soil abrasivity effects in mechanized tunneling. Since 2012, he has working as a faculty member in Department of Earth Sciences of Tabriz. He has established M.Sc. course of Engineering Geology at the department and supervised more than 25 M.Sc. students and published several articles in international and national journals in this period. His specialist covering teaching, research and consulting on geomechanics, tunneling and foundation engineering. Ghodrat has a wide variety of experience in design and construction of dam and tunneling projects. His major interests are in theoretical and applied sciences, including:
