Ebrahim Asghari-Kaljahi was born in Tabriz, Iran, 1966. He received the B.Sc. degree in the Geology from University of Tabriz (1990) and M.Sc. & Ph.D. degree in Engineering Geology from University of Tarbiat Modarres (Tehran) in 1996 and 2002, respectively. He has visited Durham University, UK, for 6 months in 2001 for completing his PhD thesis under supervision of Prof. David G. Toll. He is an Associate Professor of Engineering Geology in the University of Tabriz, Department of Earth Sciences. Ebrahim has established Engineering Geology M.Sc. course in that department, 2013, and has supervised the thesis of more than 40 students up to now. He is an Engineering Geology and Geotechnical Engineering expert working with some consultant firms. Ebrahim has published many articles in international and national journals and attended many international and national conferences. He is a member of Iranian Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, Iranian Association for Engineering Geology and member of board for Journal of Geoconservation Research (GCR). His interest’s fields are soil mechanics of cemented soils, field tests, landslide, soil improvement, geology hazards and site investigation. |
