Mohssen Moazzen is a Professor of Earth Sciences. He is graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology from University of Tabriz, M.Sc. in Metamorphic Geology from Kerman University and Ph.D. from Manchester University. Dr. Moazzen has research experience as a Post-Doctorate Fellow at the University of Manchester (1999-2000), Associate Researcher at Potsdam University of Germany (2005-2006) and Research Professor at the Wollongong University in Australia (2018-2019). He was supervisor of several Ph.D. and M.Sc. students. His major interests include application of petrology, geochemistry and mineralogy to study the geodynamics of the Earth crust, mantle petrology and evolution of the mountain belts.
