Mohammad Hassanpour-Sedghi was born in Tabriz, Iran 1974. He is graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology from University of Tabriz (1997), M.Sc. in Tectonics from Shiraz University (2001) and Ph.D. degree in Geophysics, Seismology from International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (IIEES) in 2011. He has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Earth Sciences in the field of Geophysics and Tectonics at the University of Tabriz and he has more than 14 years teaching experience and he was supervisor and advisor of several Ph.D. and M.Sc. students. He has visited ICTP, Italy, and participated in several advanced schools and research courses, including: the direct and inverse problems on seismology and the non-linear dynamics and earthquake prediction. He has published many articles in international and national journals and has presented numerous papers at national and international conferences and is a reviewer for several international and national journals. He has completed several research projects with the University of Tabriz and national projects. His major interests include Seismology and Seismotectonics, Applied Geophysics, Seismic hazard, Earthquake precursors, Geodynamics of the Earth crust, Structural and subsurface geology and Petroleum Geophysics. He is a member of the Iranian Geophysical Society, Iranian Earthquake Engineering society and Iranian Geological Society.
