Rahim Jomeiri was born in Marand, Iran,1960. He is graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology from University of Tabriz and M.Sc. in Geophysics from University of Tehran. Since 1993, he has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Earth sciences in the field of Geophysics at the University of Tabriz. He is a geophysics lecturer and his major interests include Seismology, Seismic Exploration and resistivity exploration. From 2008 to 2013, he worked as dean of the Marand Technical College, University of Tabriz.
